Actor and director Yasir Nawaz’s upcoming thriller/murder mystery, tentatively titled Chakkar, as reported earlier, will feature Mawra Hocane, but won’t be featuring Feroze Khan.
According to recent reports, actor and host Ashan Khan has joined the cast of the upcoming film. The actor, who has diverse roles to his credit, in a recent interview confirmed that he will play the lead role in the film. Ahsan Khan shared that he has always been Nida and Yasir Nawaz’s first choice for lead. Ahsan revealed that Nida had asked him if he was interested in playing the lead role when the couple appeared on his talk show months ago. Besides, the Udaari actor spoke about his character and shared that he is playing the main lead, Kabir.
While he didn’t give away too many details, the actor said that his admiration for Yasir Nawaz’s direction and filmmaker and distributor, Satish Anand’s association with the project are some of the reasons he has signed up for the upcoming movie.
This will be Yasir Nawaz’s fourth film. Last year Wrong No. 2, which featured Sami Khan and Neelam Munir in lead roles, released across Pakistan and did quite well at the box office.
