The acclaimed stylist has recently been selected as the official hair and makeup partner for the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA’s), that will include her brands Nabila, N-Gents and makeup palette Zero Makeup.
For more than three decades, renowned image consultant Nabila has not only been associated with celebrity makeovers but is also a part of major award shows and fashion weeks in Pakistan. Moreover, Nabila has been collaborating with international fashion events taking place in London, Berlin, Switzerland and Abu Dhabi.
Quite recently she has been selected as the official hair and makeup partner for one of Bollywood’s most colorful awards ceremony: the IIFA’s, with her brands Nabila, N-Gents and makeup palette Zero Makeup roped in.
According to Nabila, Wizcraft, the Indian media and entertainment company that helms the IIFA’s, approached them through a common acquaintance and asked them to come on board for the entire project. She continued, “I considered it a big compliment considering that MAC has been the official hair and makeup partner for the awards for many previous years.”
She further went on to say that before approaching her, they must have obviously researched her work first. “My repertoire is diverse and extensive and I have trained a team that now operates like clockwork at major events,” she said. “We will be bringing the same expertise to the IIFA’s. A big team is required to be present backstage to handle the styling. Given our extensive experience at mainstream events, we will be able to manage it.”
The award-winning hair and make-up maestro launched her magical all-in-one makeup palette called the No Makeup Palette in Pakistan three years ago, and only a few months back, the No Makeup Palette transitioned into ZERO Makeup, which is officially based in Dubai, and is retailing at Bloomingdales, Dubai. And now with this partnership, which is optimally timed to precede the Indian launch of Zero Makeup, the IIFA platform will help in introducing the palette to the Indian market.
As for IIFA’s requirements, in-room salon services will be set up for the MIP’s (Most Important People), an in-hotel salon will be created for the VVIP’s (Very Very Important People) and a backstage salon for the dancing troupes, assistants and fashion segments.
The event will be held at the reputed Siam Niramit Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand, from June 21 to June 24, 2018. The technical awards will take place on June 22 as well as some of the dances and fashion segments where designers collaborate with musicians. The mainstream award ceremony is slotted for June 24.
