The coming months will see the release of quite a few films on the local turf. While Yasir Nawaz’s romantic drama Mehrunisa V Lub U and Hassan Waqas Rana’s War saga Yalghaar are all set to hit theatres on Eid-ul-Fitr, there are a few productions that have been in the making for some time. One of them is Javed Sheikh’s upcoming thriller Wajood, that features Danish Taimoor and Saeeda Imtiaz.

Directed and produced by industry veteran Javed Sheikh, Wajood has been shot in Pakistan and Turkey and just recently wrapped up with a press conference in Turkey, which was addressed by Sohail Mahmood, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey.

According to Mahmood, Wajood is an attempt to promote Pakistan-Turkey friendly relations and efforts are underway to take it forward through collaboration in joint production and exchange of films and TV serials. He also added that it was heartwarming that in the last few years, the entertainment industry in Pakistan and Turkey has played an important role in bringing the two brotherly states even closer to each other.

Set to release on Eid-ul-Azha this year, Wajood also stars Aditi Singh from India, Nadeem Baig, Frieha Altaf (owner of Catwalk Event Management & Productions), Shahid and Ali Saleem. Javed Sheikh will also make an appearance in the film.
