Pakistan’s film industry is slowly gaining momentum with the number of releases increasing each year. And it is always refreshing to see some diversity in terms of the themes and genres they deal with. Aside from comedies and tragedies, the coming months will see the release of Pakistan’s first super hero film, post revival, titled Project Ghazi. The film is all set to hit theatres on July 14, 2017. Directed by Nadir Shah and produced by Ali Raza, Project Ghazi is based on a mission, Project Ghazi.

“In Pakistan, we need to make films that explore new genres while still being engaging for the audience,” the director noted in a press statement. “Super hero films are the equivalent of modern day mythologies, and can be a source for innovative stories. Working in feature films has been a long standing goal and I am working hard to create something unique.”

Starring Humayun Saeed, Sheheryar Munawar, Adnan Jaffar and Syra Shahroz in pivotal roles, the film’s first teaser came out earlier this year and is a treat to watch. Project Ghazi is about a cosmic battle between good and bad. While Jaffar plays the antagonist, Saeed and Munawar essay the two good guys in the film with the former playing mentor to the latter. Shahroz, on the other hand, will be seen as a scientist in the film and plays Munawar’s love interest.
