Faran Tahir is one of our favourite exports to Hollywood. He continues to make us proud by rubbing shoulders with the likes of Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man and Matt Damon in Elysium.

Judging by Tahir’s filmography, one would imagine that the Hollywood actor has taken a likeness to science fiction films, (he also appeared in the 2009 Star Trek), which is why we’re glad to see him trying something new.

His next Hollywood venture is going to be a horror/thriller film for which he has begun shooting in Los Angeles, USA. Titled Sara’s Cell, the film is being directed by Kevin Shulman and is based on the fictional story of celebrity reporter, Sara Brown, who is held captive by terrorists. The screenplay has also been written by Kevin Shulman and Nathaniel Shulman.

What we know about Tahir’s role so far is that he will be playing the role of a CIA informant deep under cover whose son is killed during a covert operation. The star cast of the movie includes Kristina Klebe, William Forsythe, Eoin Macken and Bill Moseley and the film is expected to be released in 2017.

Speaking about his experience of working on the film so far, Tahir shared in a press release: “It is a fun team to work with and I am really looking forward to the final product. I love thriller/ horror movies.”
