Music group Josh, featuring Rup Magon and Qurram Hussain, is one of modern music’s most popular bands. With four full-length albums (released worldwide) to their credit including several thrilling collaborations, the band has been an active part of the music scene for over a decade. Having finished a rigourous 12-show tour of Pakistan this month, the group is entering the television soundtrack territory with an upcoming drama serial called Shiza.
According to their publicist, Taha Sadaqat, the song is called ‘Iltija’ and the group has even shot a music video for it, which is being directed by Sohail Javed. The big news here is that this is Josh’s first TV OST.
“The song is called ’Iltija’ and the video is directed by Sohail Javed, who has also directed the drama,” Sadaqat told Instep. “More than half of the video features performance shots of the band while the rest consists of shots from the serial.”
Moving away from the single, the band is scheduled to headline a cultural event in Singapore that is slated to take place next month.
Furthermore, one half of this music duo, Qurram Hussain is producing music for at least two upcoming films and is also one of the participants in the all-new second season of Cornetto Pop Rock. As part of the series, Hussain will soon be seen in a music video called ‘Turn Up The Music Mr DJ’ that also features Ayesha Omar and choreographer Hasan Rizvi. The video for it has been directed by Wajahat Rauf.
