It’s been a while since we heard the rumour that the dynamic duo of Sheheryar Munawar and Mahira Khan, who first appeared together in Asim Raza’s fairly successful debut film, Ho Mann Jahaan last year, will be coming together for another film.
It’s been a while since we heard the rumour that the dynamic duo of Sheheryar Munawar and Mahira Khan, who first appeared together in Asim Raza’s fairly successful debut film, Ho Mann Jahaan last year, will be coming together for another film. According to the grapevine, the two actors would pair up for Farjad Nabi and Meenu Gaur’s next - the duo who gave us films like Zinda Bhaag (2013) and Jeewan Hathi (2016). However, no official announcement was made on the subject until now.
When Instep contacted Munawar to confirm the news, the actor responded in the affirmative. “Yes I’m doing a film with Mahira Khan, which will be directed by Farjad and Meenu,” he told Instep.
However, Munawar refrained from disclosing any further details as he’s under a contract. “I think it’s too early to talk about it. I’m not sure if I am allowed to reveal anything further about the film.”
Aside from his next with Khan, Munawar is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Project Ghazi that features him alongside Humayun Saeed and Syra Shehroz. The film is expected to come out later this year.
Meanwhile, Mahira Khan, riding high on the success of Raees, is currently busy shooting for Shoaib Mansoor’s next which is called Verna and also counts in its cast, singer-songwriter Haroon Shahid, who scored big last year with the song ‘Baliye’ on Coke Studio 9.
