Caitlyn Jenner: ‘It was easier coming out as trans than as a Republican candidate’
Caitlyn Jenner said that Kim Kardashian "has done an amazing job with criminal justice reform"
Caitlyn Jenner detailed the reaction she received from her family after announcing her bid for California governor.
During an appearance on Fox 11 Los Angeles with Elex Michaelson, Jenner was asked if her daughter Kim Kardashian—who recently took up legal advocacy—could possibly be her advisor for criminal justice.
"I've talked to all my family about running for governor and to be honest with you, it was easier to come out as trans than as a Republican candidate for governor, it was a lot tougher to sell," revealed the 71-year-old.
Jenner further said that the beauty mogul, 40, "has done an amazing job with criminal justice reform, I think she's spot on."
"I have not asked her to be involved in my campaign, but I guarantee you, as time goes on and I become Governor, I'm sure she'll have my ear..." said Jenner.
