This has resulted in a petition filed by the people of Pakistan seeking her removal as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

This has led to an online petition filed by Pakistanis who have been outraged at Priyanka for her statement.
Earlier, Priyanka also met with immense censure by Pakistani actress Armeena Khan who called the actress out for endorsing war.
Armeena also stated that the next time Priyanka speaks up for peace and goodwill, people should remember her hypocrisy.
It is pertinent to mention that Priyanka Chopra was made the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in December 2016.
