PSL 2019: Latest points table
Latest points table: Quetta Gladiators, despite being defeated by Karachi Kings by just one run last night, remained on top with 14 points followed by Peshawar Zalmi with 12 points while Islamabad United regained third place after their 49-run victory over Lahore Qalandars in their last match.
At the end of the 30th T20 match in the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the league round has completed and now the eliminators and one qualifier will played from Wednesday (March 13).
In the last match, Peshawar Zalmi outclassed Karachi Kings by 61 runs at the National Stadium, Karachi on Monday night and moved on top of the points table with 14 points from their ten matches and earned the net run rate of 0.828. They left behind Quetta Gladiators who also obtained 14 points with a lesser NRR of 0.376 and came down to second place on the table.
The two top teams on the table will clash with each other in the Qualifier to be played on Wednesday, March 13 at the National Stadium, Karachi.
Islamabad United, who are defending champions, are placed third with ten points and an NRR of 0.127 while Karachi Kings came fourth with ten points and an NRR of -0.673. They will now face each other in the Eliminator-1 on Thursday (March 14) at the National Stadium, Karachi.
The remaining two teams - Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans - have failed to qualify for play-offs. Both teams have secured six points each. The Qalandars are placed fifth (NRR 0.173) and the Sultans are sixth (bottom) with an NRR of -0.837.
