American rock-pop band 'OneRepublic' all set to perform in India this week

MUMBAI: India is all set to host iconic band 'OneRepublic' that is coming to Indian soil for a magnificent tour this weekend.

The renowned American rock-pop band is gearing up for their glitzy performance to be held in the coastal city of Bombay (Mumbai) on Saturday, April 21.

While on tour the Counting Stars-fame will get a glimpse of Indian history and go on a travelling spree via local public transport that includes a sightseeing trip for today (Thursday) comprising visit to the Elephanta Caves, Gateway of India and Victoria Terminus, revealed a statement.

Not only this, the band will also experience the epic auto-rickshaw ride and will travel via bus.

Before their performance on Saturday the band will be visiting places like Mount Mary Church and Haji Ali Dargah.

“We have been informed by the management that the band wants to experience and explore the essence of the city and hence will be coming into India three days prior to the performance,” said Director-Opium Events and Production Cyrus Gorimar.

He added, “We have arranged a private guide for them who will take them around the city. They are quite excited about the cuisine of India and we will leave no stone unturned to ensure they take home a long lasting memory of India.”

Moreover, the band is to devour upon desi food like  dal makhani, dum aloo, mutton/chicken biryani, gobi paratha, rajma chawal, butter chicken, palak paneer and chola bhatura among others.
