Mickey Mouse floral display sets Guinness of tallest topiary structure
The legendary Disney character Mickey Mouse was adorned with brightly-colored flowers at the Dubai Miracle Garden and since then has become a major tourist attraction.
DUBAI: A unique Mickey Mouse floral statue took on the global record of world’s tallest topiary sculpture, standing at 18.06 meters in height.
The legendary Disney character Mickey Mouse was adorned with brightly-colored flowers at the Dubai Miracle Garden and since then has become a major tourist attraction.
The sculpture was built using almost a thousand different species of plants and flowers. The sculpture weighs around 35 tons and is supported by a four-ton steel structure with a concrete foundation of 50 tons (45,359.2 kg) of reinforced concrete.
Interestingly, Dubai Miracle Garden is now the holder of two Guinness World Records. It was previously handed over the title of the largest flower arrangement/sculpture with an Emirates Airbus A380 display.
