GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Hot Air Balloon Fiesta begun by unleashing four promotional hot air balloons for twenty minutes.
The global event taking place fourth consecutive year began Feb 24th and will conclude on 25th.
The rides to tethered hot balloons shut its ‘two sessions per day’ gate on first day after welcoming the first 150 visitors, either them be the ones geared up for a morning glory view or those craving to watch the sun set at 6pm.
The carnival isn’t all about the day view, kicked off at Padang Polo, there goes a “Night Glow” show at 9pm illuminating 10 hot air balloons for a night view go.
The fiesta raises its tethered balloons up to about 60 feet from the field with around 16 hot air balloons accompanying each other all in all.
The event also has its splinters, such as arts and crafts workshops, paddle boat rides in an inflatable pool, reverse bungee jumping and a giant trampoline ramped up throughout the day.
