‘Aiyaary’ banned from screening in Pakistan
This has been Pandey’s third movie that has been banned from release in Pakistan. His previous movies ‘Baby’ and ‘Naam Shabana’, dealing with themes of intelligence agencies, were also banned from screening.
KARACHI: Neeraj Pandey directed ‘Aiyaary’ is an Indian patriotic movie which has been banned for release in Pakistan.
Satish Anand, the distributer of the movie in Pakistan, revealed through social media that the content was disapproved therefore, the movie is banned from screening. The spokesperson for the film in India also confirmed the news.
This has been Pandey’s third movie that has been banned from release in Pakistan. His previous movies ‘Baby’ and ‘Naam Shabana’, dealing with themes of intelligence agencies, were also banned from screening.
‘Aiyaary’ is a story set against an army background featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee in roles of army officers bent on unleashing the corruption within the system.
The movie also underwent reviewing in India before the Central Board of Film Certification, and Ministry of Defense.
