Several people in the world are shying away from the cold into their homes, but these crazed individuals in China decided to make the most of the snow and ended up making not one but two world records of the largest snow painting and the longest ice bar ever made.
In the city of Tonghua in northeast of China’s Jilin province, the largest snow painting came to the surface that measured more than 2,220 square meters and was made using environmental-friendly materials. The ice bar, on the other hand, measures more that 100 meters in length.
The two record breaking creations certified by Guinness World Records broke the previous records set by Russia in 2014 and the United States in 2001.
The deputy director of the city’s tourism development committee, Yao Yuan hopes that after the two world records the city, known for not only its ice and snow sports, will boost tourism.
