Shocking CCTV footage shows policeman shooting while holding infant

SAO PAOLO: An appalling video recently went viral has caught the social media in fury as it shows an off-duty police cop shooting down two armed robbers while holding his child in one arm on Tuesday.

Walking into a local pharmacy in Brazil, Sergeant Rafael Souza stopped to buy medicines with his wife and son when two armed men barged in the shop wearing hoods and wielding guns.

One of the robbers then pointed gun at the cop who held on to his son firmly. 

Soon after, the cop and robber got involved into a fierce gunfight, as Souza shot down one robber before handing over the infant to his wife.

Both the robbers were pronounced dead at the spot.

 What could have been an act of self-defense, the cop told investigators that he killed the robbers before they could shoot him.
