BEDFORDSHIRE: One female member of staff was injured as the world's longest aircraft crashed into a field.
As per details, the airlander 10, which was about 92 metres long and weighed 20 tonnes, broke free from its mooring mast, triggering a safety system which deflates the aircraft. A female members of staff was injured in the incident.
The aircraft had completed a series of test flights on Friday and was moored near its hanger when it broke free.
A member of staff sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for assessment as a precaution.
According to initial assessment of Hybrid Air Vehicles, the aircraft was not flying at the time of the incident, it added that the aircraft broke free from its mooring mast for reasons that will be investigated.
