ROTTERDAM, Netherlands: Saturday´s women´s Euro quarter-final between Germany and Denmark was postponed until Sunday because of heavy rain that dampened the pitch in Rotterdam.
"The match has been postponed until tomorrow. More information on kick-off time to follow," UEFA said on Twitter.
TV footage from the stadium showed organisers shovelling off water shortly after the game was due to start at 1845 GMT.
The players entered the pitch for a second warm-up an hour after the planned kick-off as the rain had stopped, but the water visibly hampered passes longer than a metre.
In Saturday´s first quarter-final, hosts the Netherlands booked a place in the semi-finals after beating Sweden 2-0 in Doetinchem.
On Sunday, Austria face Spain and France face England in the remaining quarter-finals.
