BEIJING: Pakistan's Chief Of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa met Chinese Foreign Minister on Friday and thanked him for the diplomatic support that the time-tested ally has provided to Pakistan on core issues.
According to the ISPR, Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa met with China's Foreign Minister Mr Wang Yi at the Chinese Foreign Office in Beijing. The ISPR claimed that the Chinese minister expressed complete understanding of the challenges which Pakistan was currently facing and acknowledged its geo-strategic relevance in the region. "He reiterated Chinese' full spectrum support to Pakistan," stated the press release of the ISPR.

Mr Wang Yi also acknowledged Pakistan's efforts in maintaining good relations with its neighbours India and Afghanistan, despite challenges. Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa stated that Pakistan valued its friendship with China a great deal and wished to continue with the same spirit and enthusiasm.
The Pakistan Army chief arrived in the Chinese capital on Thursday and held important meetings with senior military, civil leadership to discuss bilateral matters.
