Why King Charles is not taking legal action against Princess Diana's 'horrible' brother?

Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer has been threatened by Piers Morgan that the journalist was taking legal action against him and his publishers over demonstrable lies in his book about Diana.

Speaking on his YouTube show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, he declared: “I can exclusively reveal on Uncensored that Earl Spencer’s book contains fabricated inaccuracies which will strike to the heart of his credibility.”

Also, taking to X, formerly Twitter handle, Piers Morgan tweeted, “BREAKING: I am taking legal action against Earl Spencer and his publishers over demonstrable lies he has written about me in his new book, which call into question his credibility as a supposed ‘historian’.”

Commenting on the post, one fan said, “Good for you! I hope others sue him as well. The guy is horrible.”

Another said, “Well done. Can’t wait for discovery. Demand all his paperwork. Sue Meghan and Harry if they conspired with him.”

“Why isn't Charles Windsor (King Charles) taking legal action?”, the third said referring to Earl Spencer's claims about the monarch.

Earlier, King Charles took the unusual step of responding to criticism by the brother of his late first wife Diana, saying via a spokesperson that grief could impact reason, judgment and memory.

The assertions, made in a soon-to-be published book, relate to the now-monarch's conduct in the days after Diana's death in 1997.

Charles Spencer, alleges in a soon-to-be-published memoir that the then-Prince Charles told him "rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough", according to a report in the Daily Mail, which begins serialising the book.
