Prince Harry unveils rare detail about daughter Lilibet during heartfelt kids' encounter

Prince Harry's kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are always running his mind even during his poignant visit to seriously ill kids and their families.

On Monday, ahead of the WellChild Awards, the Duke of Sussex met young honorees in London and spent some quality time chatting with kids.

While talking to 6-year-old Margot Jones-Billington, who suffered from a brain injury at 10 months, he gushed over her choice of shoes and dress while sharing rare insight into his own daughter's favorite color.

The young girl was wearing sparkly shoes and pink dress, when Harry noticed he quickly remarked, “You obviously love sparkles."

He continuned, “I have a boy and a girl who are seven and five. My little girl loves sparkles and she loves pink.

"That’s her favorite color," Harry raved.

During his annual appearance at the WellChild Awards shared a rare insight into his morning routine with Archie and Lilibet at his new home in Cotswolds.

“At breakfast this morning, they had a bit of Monday morning blues,” he told HELLO! Magazine. “There’s always something like Sunday night blues or boarding school... when you’ve been away, or before you go to school.”

“I decided, ‘You know what? You’re being a little bit tricky, so I’m going to tell you exactly what I’m doing tonight,’ ” he said. “And they were genuinely fascinated and asking all sorts of questions. So, like with all of my work and their mum’s work as well, whatever we can do to try to instil some of that awareness, I think is absolutely crucial.”

“Once you become a parent, it does change everything,” Harry said. “It’s not the fact that for all the years that I wasn’t a parent that meeting the kids didn’t matter as much, but you suddenly realise how grateful you are to have kids that aren’t sick.”

“And again, day in, day out, coming off the back of kids being out [of school] for 11 weeks... but you find yourself going, ‘Wow, in that room with those parents, you really can’t complain about anything,’” he continued. “Of course, it’s all relative, but the inspiration that I get from these guys - not just the kids, but the parents themselves - it fills me up for a whole year.”
