Kristen Bell admits she made the first move for her surprise 'Frozen' performance
Kristen Bell personally pitched her surprise 'Frozen' sing-along to Savannah Bananas
Kristen Bell has made a surprising revelation about Savannah Bananas performance.
The actress surprised fans when she appeared at the baseball team's game in Denver, where she performed a medley alongside Broadway star Derek Klena. The number included her beloved Frozen song For the First Time in Forever followed by songs from Wicked and Dirty Dancing.
In an interview with People, Bell revealed that she was the one who pitched the idea to Bananas. "That was an incoming call for them. I just said, ‘I have this idea. Can I come perform with you?’ And they were like, ‘Sure.’ That was the extent of the conversation."
Bell then emerged from the stands wearing a custom Bananas jersey and leopard-print cargo pants before joining the performance on the field.
The actress, who voices Anna in the Frozen franchise, admitted that one part of the performance was particularly nerve-racking: recreating the iconic lift from Dirty Dancing with Klena.
She said, "I had in my head this awesome vision of being in the Dirty Dancing lift, but we only had 30 minutes of rehearsal, and I maybe jumped into Derek Klena’s arms seven times prior to that one you saw on the Internet."
Adding, "But the whole thing was a freaking dream come true."
Despite the limited preparation, Kristen Bell described the entire experience as “a freaking dream come true.”
