Carrot Top recovering after suicide attempt

Comedian Carrot Top was taken to a hospital in Las Vegas after a suicide attempt. Sources said that the longtime Las Vegas performer, whose real name is Scott Thompson, attempted suicide on Friday.

Speaking to TMX, his representative said, "Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs. His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy."

Carrot Top, 61, is known for his high-energy prop comedy, signature red hair, and elaborate stage performances.

Shortly after the news of his hospitalization surfaced online, social media users started sharing details what they called his sex scandal.

Carrot Top, read name Scot Thompson, was accused of sexual exploitation by Brian Evans in a lawsuit filed in July 2026.

He alleged that Carrot Top him a video of sexual nature. A second accuser, Zachary Defazio, accused him of sexually exploiting him when he was 19. Carrot Top has yet to file a response.
