Selena Gomez opens up as first wedding anniversary draws near

Selena Gomez praised Benny Blanco.

As Selena and Benny’s first wedding anniversary is just on the horizon, the pop star revealed to People Magazine that the couple is “still in the honeymoon stage.”

The singer and actress reflected on the qualities that she appreciates in her hubby, saying, “I love it. It just feels so wonderful to have a partner that actually genuinely listens and just meets you right where you are, whatever that mood or day looks like, and that’s all I could ask for.”

She went on to say, “I just need him, and I love him, so it’s pretty great.”

“It is pretty spectacular,” Selena added. “He is a very joyful human. He’s very fun, spontaneous and he loves to talk!”

Praising her husband, Selena opened up about making music with him in the future. “He happens to be extremely more advanced in that world than I am, and I really appreciate his advice and his guidance, but he never took control of anything.”

Adding, “If anything, I wanted him to and he just said, ‘No, I want your decisions to be your decisions,’ and it was very easy.”

“I don’t think I would make every album with him, but I loved it, and we have a memory now. We’ve done something together,” the Calm Down singer noted.

Just days ago, the music producer husband reflected on their close bond while speaking on Jenna & Sheinelle: “I was literally just talking to Selena yesterday cause we’re about to celebrate our one year and I was like, ‘What even happened?’ It’s like done already.”

“We are so lucky and fortunate that we’re just each other’s yin and yang. Everything is so easy, and she’s my best friend. Sometimes I get home and I feel like we’re gossiping about the same thing. It’s my best friend that I get to spend the rest of my life with,” he said at the time.
