Apple developing beats-branded gaming controllers for iPhone: What to know
Apple is developing a new game controller for iPhone under the company’s beats brand
Apple is reportedly developing Beats-branded gaming controllers engineered to function with iPhones, offering players a fresh way to experience mobile games. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has today confirmed hidden code referencing the company’s own game controllers for iPhone.
Apple has started selling some controllers like the Backbone One and SteelSeries Nimbus through the Apple Store. The code findings reveal evidence of a D-Pad, haptic motors and possibly an integrated accelerometer and gyroscope for motion controls. Gurman believes the Apple-developed accessory may eventually be released under the Beats brand.
According to Gurman, Apple-developed accessories may be released under the Beats brand with the project supervised by Beats executives. It has been observed that Beats accessories constantly targets lower price points using more economical materials than the premium Apple brand. It is crucial to note that users can now connect MFI-compatible game controllers to their Apple devices alongside conventional console controllers like the PlayStation DualShock and the Xbox Wireless Controller.
Nonetheless, beats-branded game controllers could elevate the gaming on Apple TV 4K and amplify developer investment in games being made available on iOS and Mac.
