'Evil Dead' star Bruce Campbell gets honest about his battle with cancer

Bruce Campbell has shared a major update about his battle with cancer.

The 68-year-old actor recently appeared on The Adam Carolla Show, where he revealed that he has about five years to live.

"I've decided, though, pretty specifically, to live with it, not die from it," Bruce told host Adam Carolla, declining to share what type of cancer he has.

"The cancer rabbit hole is enormous. You can go into focus groups of 10,000 guys who have exactly what you have. I won't touch it with a 10 foot pole," he continued.

Bruce, who is currently busy promoting his new film Ernie & Emma, further said that he feels "perfectly fine" right now as he continues to refuse to let his battle stop him from living life.

"I'm moving on. I got a movie to promote. And when I promote this movie, I have nothing. I'm free and clear when I promote this movie mentally," he said. "You have to make this decision of, 'well, okay, but do I have to stop everything that I'm doing because of this?' Well, no."

"The cancer, it creep me out because of the ancillary stuff that it does. It's not just, you don't die for cancer. You die from what cancer does to you," The Evil Dead star added.

For those unversed, Bruce was diagnosed with cancer in March. At the time, the star described the cancer as "treatable, not curable."
