Netflix has adopted a bizarre strategy to promote its horror sci-fi film The Last House.

High above the bustling traffic of Hollywood, Netflix turned a traditional advertisement into a living psychological experiment.

And it is based on the weirdest billboard stunt by trapping a man inside a billboard. A footage widely circulating on X shows a trapped man, hired by Netflix, who is living in the room built in the structure. The bystanders and onlookers can see the performer doing various activities like reading and stretching.

The man inside was writing on a whiteboard to communicate with the people below on Sunset Boulevard.

The billboard looks like a vine-covered space, featuring a front door, drainage pipe and a chimney. An ominous message is written beneath the living room window, “How long can you survive?” The man will “live” inside the billboard from August 6-8.

Netflix wrote in a post, “While attempting to carry on as normally as possible inside the enclosed space, he’ll communicate with commuters and passersby below using a whiteboard — an eerie echo of the film’s central predicament.”

The Last House is Netflix-presented horror movie, featuring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura as parents Ann and Jason, respectively, to daughter Ruth (Riley Chung) and son Graham (Noah Alexander Sosnowski).

The story of the movie revolved around a family who found themselves trapped in a house while a sinister threat lurked inside. It debuts on Netflix on August 7.
