Octopuss grip on man leaves thousands horrified

A man who went into the sea to hunt apparently became the prey himself.

A viral clip left thousands of people horrified after it showed a large octopus latched onto the unnamed man's back in shallow water in Japan.

The undated video shows the man struggling to peel off the octopus’s suckers, which had gripped on insanely tight.

What left many people wondering was that no one appeared to be helping the man get rid of the creature.

Some viewers linked this apathy to a “content first” approach, where people film an incident instead of offering help.

A famous content creator on X shared the clip with the caption: “I'm officially never swimming ever again.”

While some people said the incident took place in Kochi, Japan, the exact location remains unknown.

It is also not known whether the man sustained any injuries in the incident.
