News of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s meeting with King Charles has finally taken place, royal commentator Rebecca English revealed.

Now, a few hours after she broke the news of this ‘private’ face to face with the Sussexes and their children, one of whom only visited the UK once during her infancy, and spent her formative years on the other side of the pond – has finally met her grandfather.

Now Vanity Fair has dropped insight into what the Sussex children think of being the grandchildren of a King.

According to Katie Nicholl, in her piece for the outlet, “Archie and Lili were very excited about seeing their grandfather.”

But whats pertinent to mention is that none of this happened without ‘frantic’ efforts by Prince Harry who even had his invite to stay at a royal residence pulled from under their feet at the last moment.

As Ms Nicholl puts it, “here have been calls from a rather frantic Harry to his father’s aides, trying to make this happen.”

The only thing known from King Charles’ camp about the entire heart-to-heart is that King Charles made it clear, in no uncertain terms that he “wanted the meeting but was adamant it must be kept private.”
