Prince Harry makes emotional plea as he returns to UK
Prince Harry shares what Britain needs most during Invictus Games countdown
Prince Harry delivered an inspiring message about resilience during a special event.
Marking one year until the 2027 Invictus Games, the Duke of Sussex urged Britain to draw strength from those who have overcome adversity.
During ITV's This Morning with presenter Alison Hammond at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre, Harry reflected on the courage shown by wounded and injured military veterans who compete in the Invictus.
He said, "I think that when you’re really up against it, how you decide to use that trauma, that experience or that loss, how you use that to really grow that resilience in yourself – I think that’s where people can connect to it."
"And now, more than ever, we need to grow the national resilience here in the UK, but also around the world," he added.
Prince Harry also played Laser Run with Hammond earlier, joking about having "lost quite a lot of hair" since the inaugural Invictus Games in London in 2014 while praising the community for embodying service.
This comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla at Buckingham palace shortly after the Duke's Invictus Games event in Birmingham. The palace confirmed the news on Friday.
Rebecca English said, "Since this was a private family occasion, no images will be released." The couple's children also joined them.
