For Rockstar Games, GTA VI is arguably the video game company's biggest project to launch.

But the most anticipated game has been delayed for quite a long time, leaving GTA fanatics desperate.

Now, moving away from throwing breadcrumbs, Rockstar has just dropped a rocking update of GTA 6.

In a surprise move, the gaming giant shared on X that pre-orders of Grand Theft Auto VI will begin on June 25.

In addition, the game's first official cover art has also been released, sending the fans into a frenzy.

Though Rockstar has not released a third trailer, fans expect a stunning reveal before pre-orders open.

Interestingly, various publishers in the gaming industry are releasing their games ahead of GTA 6 to grab attention before it's too late, according to ScreenRant.

Other heavyweights, such as Fable, have moved their releases to 2027.

How much will GTA 6 cost?

The question on fans' minds is how much the long-awaited game would cost them.

Reports say $80 or even more is expected.

This feared rise in gaming price is defended by Strauss Zelnick.

He is the CEO of Take-Two, under whose label Rockstar Games operates.

"In real dollars, the cost of frontline video games has declined materially in the last 30 years," he earlier told IGN.

"Frontline prices have not gone up very much even in the context of inflation."

"But from our point of view around here, what we can do to make a difference is always deliver an experience that is so much better than what people pay for that they're thrilled to buy our titles," he added.

GTA 6 to release on Nov. 19 this year.
