Sydney Sweeney refuses to 'own this obvious' problem with 'Euphoria' costar Zendaya?
Sydney Sweeney and her Euphoria' costar Zendaya have been in 'crazy' rumoured feud with one another for years
Sydney Sweeney is under the radar for categorically quashing rumours of her ongoing feud with her Euphoria costar Zendaya after their lack of joint red carpet appearances.
For those unaware, Sweeney played the role of Cassie Howard and Zendaya portrayed Rue Bennett in fans’ favorite psychological teen drama television series created and written by Sam Levinson for HBO.
In her recent interview with Vanity Fair, the 28-year-old American actress was asked about her rumoured conflict with Tom Holland’s fiancée.
Responding to the question, she said, “Well, I mean, we all grew up together on this show, so it's honestly crazy to watch how much social media and the press spin things."
A well-placed industry insider told Radar Online, "People are joking that Zendaya seems allergic to joint red carpet appearances with Sydney. It's become part of the online narrative around Euphoria because fans notice every detail."
“Sydney's comments were meant to shut down feud rumors, but for some people, they have had the opposite effect,” the source added.
“The more she denies there is a problem, the more critics point to the lack of public appearances together, and it's exposing her to real mockery that she can't just own this obvious feud,” the insider stated.
It is pertinent to mention that the rumors of conflict between Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya have been circulating for many years with sources claiming that the political differences and Sweeney’s interest in Holland drifted both costars apart.
