Matt Damon feels jealous of 'The Odyssey' costar Charlize Theron's one physical trait
Matt Damon and Charlize Theron are set to appear together in Christopher Nolan's upcoming film 'The Odyssey'
Matt Damon recently revealed what he thinks of his The Odyssey co-star Charlize Theron.
For those unaware, The Odyssey, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, is a forthcoming epic fantasy action film, an adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic the Odyssey. It stars Damon as Odysseus, the legendary Greek king of Ithaca, and Theron as Calypso, a nymph who lives on the island of Ogygia and tries to keep Odysseus as her immortal husband.
Elle magazine interviewed the 55-year-old American actor and film producer for its summer issue and asked him about his South African cast member; he started singing praises of her.
Damon beamingly began, “By the way, I don't know why only one of us aged. She won the genetic lottery.”
“She's somebody I've always really rooted for because if you know her, it's impossible not to root for her. She's just a formidable woman and a great, great actress,” the Interstellar star gushed.
Notably, The Odyssey is the second project of Damon and Theron together, which they landed 26 years after their appearance in The Legend of Bagger Vance.
It is pertinent to mention that the upcoming film has top-tier actors, including Elliot Page, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, Travis Scott, and others.
The Odyssey will hit theatres as well as IMAX on July 17, 2026.
