Elsie Hewitt is said to be struggling with the realities of being single mom after her breakup from Pete Davidson.

Just 5 months after welcoming their daughter Scottie Rose, Pete and Elsie have broken up.

Now, sources told People Magazine that the model is carrying the full mental load of motherhood.

Referring to her latest TikTok post, where Elsie clapped back at backlash over her casual appearance, saying, "That's not what I'm thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money, and I'm doing it on my own, which is hard," the source noted, "She's talking about the day-to-day reality of raising her baby largely on her own while also trying to continue working and building stability for herself and her daughter."

"They had relationship challenges for a while, which was very stressful for her, and she feels the full mental load of motherhood right now," an insider shared of the former couple's relationship.

The source explains that although Elsie "loves being a mom, and her daughter is the cutest," but "most moms understand that motherhood is emotionally and physically exhausting, especially when you carry most of the day-to-day responsibilities on your own."

Moreover, they added, "She was talking about it from an emotional perspective and how isolating it can feel when your entire life changes overnight."

"She never expected to be a single mom. She's grateful for her daughter and completely focused on being the best mom she can be, but emotionally, this has been a much harder transition than she anticipated," the source said.

Elsie Hewitt and Pete Davidson were first linked in March 2025 and announced the pregnancy in July 2025. Their daughter, Scottie Rose was born on December 12, 2025.
