British public ‘hit a nerve’ with Kate Middleton: ‘Don’t treat me like some fragile figure that’ll break!

Kate Middleton has truly turned things around, a source admits when speaking of her trip to Italy, which is her first solo engagement since being diagnosed with cancer.

The insider in question spoke about this new change in a chat with Heat World.

In their own words they describe post-Italy Kate as “energised,” and say “she’s finally feeling totally healthy again and really strong and she wants to be of service.”

There’s also chatter that she’s saying this is only the ‘first of many’ trips she plans to make in the near future.

However, one thing they made sure to admit was that none of this was an easy feat, or by any means less taxing because it wasn’t an easy trip for her to make “there’s so much pressure that comes along with any sort of official engagement, it’s going to mean very long hours and a lot of extra work,” the source explained.

Part of the potential for stress is also because in solo outings all eyes stay on her. What’s also pertinent to mention is that “she hadn’t even left on the trip yet, and she was already dealing with backlash from people saying she should be focusing her time elsewhere, which is only adding to her stress.”

As for what she felt behind the scenes hearing many talk down to her dedication to early education “it did hit a nerve with her because she doesn’t want to be treated like some fragile figure that’s going to break,” they said. “She says she’s healthy and feeling stronger, and she wants to be treated that way.”

All in all “her heart is completely in the right place and she has put so much work into her foundation, so it certainly knocks her for a loop when people manage to find fault with her for simply wanting to help young children,” the insider concluded by saying.
