Savannah Guthrie finally shares 'something joyful'
Savannah Guthrie pays tribute to mom Nancy and said, "Please keep praying. Bring her home"
US TV host Savannah Guthrie has shared ‘something joyful’ nearly four months after her mother Nancy was kidnapped from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
In a joint post with the Today Show, they said, “Savannah Guthrie, a devoted Wordle player, has been announced as the host of a new show that will bring the online game to life.”
The post further reads, “On Monday, May 11, Jimmy Fallon stopped by TODAY to make the grand announcement and shared that he will be an executive producer of the “Wordle” game show, along with The New York Times.”
In another post, the show posted a video of Savannah saying, “Savannah Guthrie will begin filming the “Wordle” game show this summer — and viewers can stay tuned about an air date.
“Casting for the show is currently open.”
Savannah also took to Instagram, and shared the screen grab of one of the posts and said, “Happy to have something joyful to share.”
Savannah reacted to the delightful news two days after she got emotional as she posted a video to pay a touching tribute to mom Nancy on Mother’s Day.
She said, “mother, daughter, sister, Nonie - we miss you with every breath. We will never stop looking for you. We will never be at peace until we find you.
“We need help. Someone knows something that can make the difference. You can be anonymous and the reward remains available.”
She added, “Please keep praying. Bring her home.”
