Royal expert applauds King Charles’ diplomatic approach
King Charles wins admiration for handling of Donald Trump relations
King Charles wom praise for the way he has handled international diplomacy, with a royal expert saying the monarch has been sending subtle but clear messages to US President Donald Trump during his recent visit to the US.
Speaking with The Mirror, royal expert Jennie Bond said Charles impressed many during his visit to Canada, where he opened Parliament and called the country “strong and free.”
The expert further praised the King’s warm but carefully managed approach towards Trump during his Windsor visit and recent US trip.
According to Bond, Charles has shown that he can deal with sensitive political topics without taking sides, much like his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
“But it is on the international stage that he has earned the most admiration. Skilfully, subtly, he has delivered some pointed messages to President Trump,” the expert said.
She added, “He flew to Canada to open the Parliament, where he declared that part of north America to be ‘strong and free.’
“He charmed Trump on his state visit to Windsor, and then wowed the world with some fiendishly well-chosen words during his recent trip to the United States.
“Charles has not only proved that he is a consummate diplomat - as was his mother - but that he is willing to confront issues that are clearly political though, crucially, not party political.
“He will stand up for this country and this planet - and his words carry weight and influence, especially with a devoted royalist like President Trump.”
