Andrew 'shaken' by screaming masked man chasing him on public road
Andrew's reported move to a rural location previously sparked concerns about his safety
For Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, it was yet another day walking his dogs out; however, in a split second, a balaclava-clad man sprinted toward him out of nowhere.
It is reportedly believed his intentions were threatening, and he has been in custody, according to an explosive report by The Telegraph.
Details indicate it was around 7:30 pm on Wednesday when a man ran toward the former prince, though it is unclear what he was shouting.
The scary moment took place on public lane near Marsh Farm, the 66-year-old's residence after his Royal Lodge exit.
Authorities say the suspect has been waiting for the ex-Duke of York in his car parked nearby Andrew's location.
At the time, a member of the 66-year-old security detail was with him.
In response to the man charging toward Andrew, the report says the former prince sprinted to his vehicle and sped off, with the suspect chasing behind him on foot.
Norfolk Constabulary spox, in a statement, briefed the press, “Officers were called to Wolferton shortly after 7.30pm on Wednesday following a report that a man was behaving in an intimidating manner in the village.
“Officers attended, and the man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody.”
Andrew, after reportedly a shaken state, recorded his statement to police as concerns over his security reignited after he was moved to a rural location following King Charles cutting his tax-funded security in 2024 over his links with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
