Darrell Sheets’ cause of death has been revealed fifteen days after his death.
For those unaware, the Storage Wars star was found lifeless around 2 a.m. local time on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department suspected that his death occurred due to suicide.
After finding out “a reported deceased individual” who turned out to be Sheets, the Lake Havasu City Police Department issued a statement, saying, “The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.”
The concerned authorities had started an investigation to find out Sheets’ exact cause of death, and on Tuesday, May 5, the Mohave County Medical Examiner's Office in Arizona confirmed to PEOPLE that the 66-year-old American actor died by suicide.
They went on to share that the tragic death was being actively investigated and encouraged people to contact the Lake Havasu City Police Department at 928-855-1171, as any lead might have helped in finding out his manner of death.
It is pertinent to mention that Darrell Sheets, who first joined Storage Wars in 2010, remained on the show until the fifteenth season, which aired in 2023.
After his exit from the show, he opened an antique shop in Arizona called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.
