Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy Carter breaks Met Gala rules
Beyoncé returns as co-chair at Met Gala 2026 after ten-year break
Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy Carter has broken the rules of the Met Gala in her debut appearance.
The 2026 Met Gala, which is taking place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute on Monday, May 4, has a ‘Fashion is Art” theme, which promotes the museum's forthcoming spring exhibition titled "Costume Art."
At the star-studded event, the 14-year-old Blue made her debut to support her mother, who serves as co-chair along with Nicole Kidman, Anna Wintour, and Venus Williams.
Notably, the typical age to attend the event is 18 or above but Blue has broken the rules to be with her mother.
For the event, Beyoncé, the Cowboy Carter songstress, opted for a skeletal-inspired dress, a matching headpiece, and a feathered cape to make her look dramatic.
On the other hand, Blue kept her look minimal as she chose to flaunt a monochromatic white strapless Balenciaga gown with a billowing skirt and train.
Keeping her look trendy and cool, she wore an unzipped jacket and a pair of silver stilettos, accessorising it with sunglasses.
It is important to note that in addition to her daughter, Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, also arrived towards the end of the night, bringing familial energy and an abundance of glamour.
