King Charles and Queen Camilla expressed gratitude to Americans in their heartwarming message released after they ended their visit to the United States.
Buckingham Palace on Thursday shared a picture of the royal couple and one featuring the Statue of Liberty with a message from the King and Queen on social media.
"Farewell and thank you for the warmth of your welcome and the kind support you gave us throughout our first visit to the US as King and Queen, in this, your special anniversary year," said the King and Queen.
They added, "We leave a piece of our heart behind and take a little of yours back home with us. Until the next time… God bless America."
Among the commenters was Melanie Griffith, actress and mother of Hollywood star Dakota Johnson.
In the comments section of the royal family's Instagram post, Melanie wrote, "So elegant, charming and heartwarming!!"
