Jimmy Kimmel exposes Trump's attempt to 'distract public attention from Epstein files'
Jimmy Kimmel hits back at Trump's comments encouraging ABC to fire the late night host
Jimmy Kimmel has claimed Trump's demand for ABC to fire him is a distraction "from the Trump-Epstein files."
During the latest episode of his late-night show, the 58-year-old TV host showed the US president’s Truth Social post, which reads, "When is ABC Fake News Network firing seriously unfunny Jimmy Kimmel, who incompetently presides over one of the Lowest Rated shows on Television? People are angry. It better be soon!!!"
Replying to Trump's comment, Jimmy said, "If incompetently presiding over not just one of, but the lowest rating in history is the reason I should be fired, we should both be out of a job because you’re not doing too good either.”
The TV personality further claimed that Trump's anger against him was a distraction from more important political topics.
“And of course, all of this is is meant to distract us from the prices he didn’t lower on day one, and from the Trump-Epstein files that his attorney general refuses to release, and to distract us from the illegal war he started and can’t figure out how to get out of,” he said.
The feud between Jimmy and Trump erupted after he called Melania an "expectant widow."
After comments went viral, Trump called for the late-night host to be fired from Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
