Britney Spears steps into 'very positive' new chapter after rehab release
Britney Spears checked herself into rehab on April 12 following her DUI arrest
Britney Spears is reportedly feeling optimistic as she returns home from rehab.
On Thursday, an insider spilled to Page Six that the 44-year-old pop sensation is looking forward to a fresh start following her rehab stay.
“She’s doing really well,” the source said. “She’s healthy and happy and feeling very positive and excited to start afresh."
"Rehab was a great opportunity for her to ground herself," continued the confidant.
As per the outlet, Britney left rehab on Wednesday night and would be “continuing counseling remotely.”
For those unversed, the Princess of Pop checked herself into rehab on April 12, following her DUI arrest.
At that time, the source told the publication that the Toxic hitmaker chose to enter rehab independently, explaining, “This isn’t about one substance in particular, it has a dual purpose."
"This is about Britney putting her mental health first and taking some time for herself to focus on the things that are important to her,” a source continued.
On Thursday, Britney was officially charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) two months after her arrest.
The Circus singer could face up to 12 months of probation if found guilty.
