Princess Diana's unheard tapes: Explosive recordings set to jolt royals in 2027
Princess Diana poured her heart out in tapes that were never fully released to the public
A new bombshell docuseries about Diana is set to be released, featuring never-before-heard audio recordings of the late Princess of Wales.
Love Monday TV and 53 Degrees Global have collaborated on the three-project TV series, whose working title is Diana: The Unheard Truth.
The project will drop on Aug 31, 2027, to mark the 30th anniversary of the late princess.
Unheard tapes
The audio recording remains unreleased; according to Variety, the tapes date back to 1991, when Diana had an honest conversation with her friend, Dr. James Colthurst.
Later, the cassettes were handed over to royal author Andrew Morton after being smuggled out of Kensington Palace.
Then, those recordings became a part of the explosive book the author wrote on the late Princess of Wales, titled Diana: Her True Story, in 1992.
Yet most of the tapes remain unheard by the public, which delved deep into Diana's life within the royal family.
In them, she reportedly poured her heart out about her aim to pursue plans independent of the royal family and about her predictions for her husband, King Charles, and his wife, Camilla's, futures.
In the docuseries, several figures close to Diana have joined, including her schoolmate Delissa Needham, hairdresser Sam McKnight, and astrologer Penny Thornton.
Dancer Wayne Sleep, former bodyguard Ken Wharfe, royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter, photographer Kent Gavin, and Daily Mail journalist Richard Kay.
