Meghan Markle just took a trip down memory lane and told the world what made her want to lean into her inner Rachel Zane while touring Australia.

The interview where she broke the whole thing down also featured some titbits from her Masterchef Australia stint, although brief.

During the whole thing Meghan was quoted telling Women’s Weekly, “The look that felt modern but also nostalgic for me was what I wore for MasterChef Australia from Matteau and Camilla and Marc, because a button-down shirt and sleek pencil skirt felt very ‘Rachel Zane’ from my Suits days.”

She also explained how ‘sentimental’ the entire experience of a set felt for her when she finally set foot onto the stage because of her own past as an actor.

Near the end she even dropped her reason for choosing an all-black ensemble for that particular shoot and tickled some ribs saying, “I thought wearing black was a safe choice in case there were any spills!”

What is pertinent to mention is that this is one of Meghan’s most recent interviews, and comes right after she returned form Australia, after a lengthy four day tour that spanned multiple cities and saw the Duke and Duchess mix philanthropy with their own private endevors.

From Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, and Bondi Beach in Sydney, their trip spanned across many days and photo ops.
