King Charles may acknowlege Epstein victims in Congress speech

Ahead of King Charles's address to Congress, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), who is leading the crusade against Jeffrey Epstein, suggests the monarch may acknowledge the victims of the sex offender in his speech.

“I met with the British ambassador—the British ambassador has suggested that the king will acknowledge the Epstein survivors in his address to Congress today,” he says while addressing Epstein’s victims.

Khanna doubles down: “I hope his flunkies don’t take out the acknowledgement from his text, and I fully expect the king to be acknowledging the survivors — the Epstein survivors — in his speech to our nation and Congress this afternoon.”

This statement follows the Democrat politician's efforts to push Charles to publicly recognize the victims of Epstein's abuse.

However, there is a pushback, reports say, from palace officials who worry a meeting – which was requested at first but declined by the royal team – by the monarch, in an official capacity, on the matter in which his brother Andrew has been legally entangled, will jeopardize the legal proceedings.

Yet it's unclear what the impact of any comment by Charles, if he made one, during a speech to Congress will be.
