CPP payments to land this week with OAS benefits as Canadians see updated pension amounts
The Canada Pension Plan and OAS payments will be deposited on 28 April for those who qualify
CPP payments are set to arrive this week for eligible Canadians, alongside Old Age Security deposits, according to government schedules.
The Canada Pension Plan and OAS payments will be deposited on 28 April for those who qualify.
CPP payments provide monthly income support in retirement and are available to individuals aged 60 and over who have made contributions.
Under updated 2026 rates, the maximum monthly CPP payment at age 65 has increased to $1,507.65. New beneficiaries aged 65 receive an average monthly amount of $803.76, based on recent data.
OAS benefits are available to Canadians aged 65 and older, regardless of work history provided residency requirements are met.
The maximum monthly OAS payment for those aged 65 to 74 is $742.31, while those aged 75 and older can receive up to $816.54, depending on income thresholds.
Both CPP and OAS payments were adjusted earlier this year to reflect updated benefit levels.
Further benefit payments are scheduled for May as part of the regular government support system.
