Sydney Sweeney reacts after cameo cut from 'Devil Wears Prada 2'
Sydney Sweeney reportedly filmed a roughly 3-minute scene for the highly anticipated Disney sequel
Sydney Sweeney is reportedly disappointed after her cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2 was removed.
“The producers can make all the excuses they want, but it’s a gigantic slap in the face to Sydney,” an insider told In Touch on Thursday.
"She’s got every right to be furious at the way she’s been treated," added the confidant.
For those unversed, the 28-year-old actress filmed a roughly 3-minute scene for the Disney sequel in which she played herself as a celebrity client being styled by Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton.
However, the cameo has been cut from the film due to a creative decision.
“It was a huge waste of her time, and further proof, not that she needed it, that a large contingent of Hollywood … are out to cause her trouble and trip her up whenever they can, which people in her world are attributing to plain old-fashioned jealousy," the source told the outlet.
Despite getting cut from the highly anticipated sequel of The Devil Wears Prada, the Euphoria actress is “trying to suck it up and move forward, but it’s obviously upset her."
“She’s thinking long and hard about upping sticks and leaving Hollywood behind,” the source revealed. “She doesn’t need this negativity in her life."
For those unversed, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to be released in cinemas on May 1, 2026.
