Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel scandal talk cost two jobs?
Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel rocked the NFL, as both denied cheating rumours
The Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel scandal took yet another turn after the latter's statement about becoming a "better person" amid the controversy; a messier incident ensued.
Two hosts, Andy Hart and Nick "Fitzy" Stevens, at WEEI Afternoons had been laid off.
It seemed to be yet another layoff in the media; however, for Tony Farmer, a sports betting analyst, it was not.
He regularly covers the Vrabel and Russini's leaked photo affair, so taking to his X account, he shared what he believed to be the case.
"Holy C***. A week after Scott Zolak insinuates he'd lose his job if he talked about the Mike Vrabel case on air, two people who did may have just lost their jobs. It's unclear if this is related, but it doesn't look good."
Farmer is unsure of the reason WEEI let Hart and Stevens go. But the pair have been covering the Russini and Vrabel controversy.
Hart, on his part, questioned the mainstream media for not openly discussing the scandal and even polled the listeners on what Vrabel should do next.
His co-host, Stevens, took a step further, analyzing the impact of the controversy on the Patriots – a team whose head coach is Vrabel – and how they have handled the situation.
It is immediately unclear why the hosts departed from WEEI.
