Meghan Markle scales back free gifts as she launches new As Ever collection
Meghan Markle, on the other hand, had given out branded gifts to several figures in Hollywood
Meghan Markle is, it appears, scaling back freebies from her brand As Ever on her new Mother's Day collection.
In her latest lifestyle drop, the Duchess of Sussex has chosen a select few recipients for the pricey gift boxes.
These include her close friends Kelly McKee Zajfen, Heather Dorak, and Today Show editor Adrianna Barrionuevo Brach, as well as internet influencers such as Kristina Zias and Carly.
However, this approach is contrary to what she had previously done – flooding who's who in Hollywood with her brand's free goodies.
Back to the PR boxes, they are reportedly priced at $156. Inside them are chocolates from Compartés, an L.A.-based company, and scented candles.
Yet, a personal touch was added to the candles because each has a scent inspired by her kids, Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie.
To make the gifts more personalised, Markle added a handwritten note, "I developed the scents over the last year so that every note melded together to take me right back to a special memory with them."
'I can light the candle, close my eyes and I'm right there,' Meghan's message read. The memorable moments of motherhood," the letter read.
"Thank you for welcoming us ever into your home and for allowing us to not just be a part of your moments but to be part of your memories."
The rollout of her PR gifts comes on the heels of Meghan and Prince Harry's trip to Australia, where they faced criticism for staging a high-priced event.
